i recently attempted to put my 2011 tacoma in 4H and then 4L and when i moved the switch to 4H the green indicator kept flashing but never turned solid indicating that 4H was locked. i was unable to get 4L as well but i could tell that the truck was in 4H when i drove. anyone have an issue like this.

What were you doing when you switched into 4H? Sometimes you have to let off the gas (no load on the drivetrain) before it will engage. If you were stopped when you switched it into 4H, sometimes you have to move a bit before it will engage.

If you weren't in 4H regardless, you'll never get into 4L.

Edit: Just re-read your post. So your truck was in 4H, it just wasn't showing it via dash light?

Thanks Cody. Looks like we had the same exact issue. What ended up being the problem for you? Front diff actuator or t-case? My truck is under warranty so i took it in today. they never told me which one it was but they ordered an actuator that they are going to replace tomoro. Thank you warranty!!!
