    Decided on a build!

    Going with:

Front, Icon 2.5 extended travel coil overs, Icon Tubular UCA
Rear, Icon 2.5 remote resi rear with the Icon AAL.
    Wheels Method Racing 301's

While it's apart going to have the shop re-do my CV boots while everything is off. 111k on my truck probably a good thing. Have him check for any other issues.

Went down and met the guys from Icon. Liked what I saw and I like the level of support being just 20 min from my house. Sure King or fox MAY be better but I really like the service, and what I have seen coming out from these guys. Besides probably the better all around ride from this company with the amount of Toyota specific testing that they do.

I went with the 2.5 coil overs on the front because I can always upgrade them later to remote resi and or add the CDC valve. I like this CDC technology. I like the fact I don't have to spend it now ($$) and decide later if I need or want it. I really just want a good solid platform to start from. I knew if I went with the Billy 5100's down the road I just wouldn't be happy as soon as I wanted to go off road and push it.

For the rears pretty much the same reason to upgrade to the remote resi to start with. Can't upgrade their 2.0's non resi. I do need to look into the difference other than size and those beni's between the remote resi 2.0 & 2.5's. Like can you upgrade the 2.0 to the CDC valve later?

Going with a local shop Demello Off Road in Corona. These guys are about 5min away and Jason in there is a real nice guy and really doesn't try to over sell you.

Any way that is my build. Looking to have it installed in about 2 weeks! CAN'T WAIT!!

Just read the whole thread, your definately doing it right - but do the cdc now, the adjustability would be the ideal. Down time later to do the upgrade? Trust me, do it right - get cdc. I gotta ship mine out from Hawaii for this upgrade.

It just adds a lot of cost to the initial build. And for the fact I don't do a lot of off road and really not sure how much it might be over kill for now. TRUST ME I will be going off road though for sure and plan on doing some exploring! Besides Icon is like I said 20min from me for the upgrade and can probably get it in about a day, 2 max if I want.

Trust me I thought of it but just thinking about the extra cost of the CDC plus going remote resi on the front.

Initial cost i hear ya man. Reason why I'm doing it is more for on road driving, I really don't offroad but mainly for hauling, supercharger runs, etc.....:D

    ICON Uni-Ball UCA’s (+$699.95)

    Rear:
ICON 2.0 Aluminum Rem. Res. Shocks (pair) (+$529.90)
    ARB/OME Dakar 2.75" Rear Leaf Pack (+$449.99)

    Misc.
Toytec Solid Steel Axle Degree Shims
Driveshaft Carrier Bearing Drop Kit (05 & UP Tacoma)
    ICON 2 Pin Spanner Wrench

Haven't really had the chance to drive it yet. I drive a company car for work but on the drive home I hit some railroad tracks and it was nice not harsh like the stock suspension.

No before and after measurements. I had them set it at just about level. The rear AAL added about 1.5 and so the front came up about 2.5 I am guessing. I'll readjust after everything settles.

Lookin good! I'd really like the performance of fox/king/icon, but I looked on Fox's website, and they recommend a rebuild every 10k miles, given 50% off road use. Given that I usually run 40k/year, I was turned off by this in a big way...
