Transfer case indicator switch (clueless) 4x4

So, I haven't seen any body post about this yet, my luck, but I took my taco to Toyota and I have the extended 7 year 100,000 mile warranty which covers drivetrain, transfer case, etc. My 4 wheel drive isn't engaging and it's due to a Transfer Case Indicator switch (What the Toyota tech claims), which I believe lies in the transfer case itself, correct me if i'm wrong, but of course Toyota says it's not covered by the warranty. I know the part is 60 bucks just don't know if anybody has replaced this part or had any problems with it?! help!!!

The actuator on the transfer case has got a 5 or 6 pin electrical plug. There's a sensor next to it with a two pin plug. I believe that is the part you're looking for.

Appears to be a simple unplug, screw out, screw in, plug in job.
