Dealer says I need a new drive shaft...

    My thoughts;

    1.) Tell the Dealer that if it does not fix the problem you will not pay for the driveshaft (and let the ext warranty pay the u joints.)

    2.) Get the dealer and Ext Warranty guys to have a conf call with you there and then and get the dealer to tell the Warranty co. they cannot change the ujoints and since that can't be done the Ext Warranty guys are on the hook for the driveshat or you'll follow up with the state AG and / or others ...

    I replaced all three u joint myself in my garage using a big old hammer and a vise...its a cheap fix 56.00 for the three joints and you could even change the carrier bearing for a few bucks more,,,,,I hate to think of how much a new drive shaft costs....good luck try it yourself
