Hey guys proud new owner of a 06 PreRunner SR5 TRD. I have a burning question? I have two 10 in subs from my old truck and amp. I know I can mount the amp under the driver side seat. But, where to put the subs? I was thinking of removing the storage compartment under the rear seat and put them in there . Will it work if not what else is there.

there are a few people here that have built custom boxes in the storage areas behind the rear seats. look at pb2themax's gallery and he has a nice setup for his that he made

If your good with fiberglass this may be feasible but I think the 10s might still be too large. This leads to the dilemma all us access cab owners face; what to sacrifice to put in a sub? Personally I'm building a box that goes behind the rear seat for a single 8". It will allow the jump seats to function properly but won't allow the rear to recline all the way but enough for my passengers to be comfortable. Heck, with right music they may get a good massage. Anyways, you just have to decide what your willing to sacrifice and go for it. I should have the install done by Sunday and will be posting pics then.

ive seen those single sub boxes before. I really dont care for them but I like the upholstery on yours. Im stilling wanting my two 10's in my truck. Im wondering if anyone has done what I was thinking by taking out that storage unit under the rear seat and puting them in there.

When it comes to putting subs under the jump seats I think you might but I would sure love to see someone pull it off.

Good luck trying to for a pair of 10s in the storage compartment. Pretty much all the subs in the compartments that I've seen have been 8s. There are plenty of shallow mount 10s out there on the market now. You might be able to squeeze a pair in there. You might have to do some cutting. If this is what you do, you might be have come across a new revelation for us access cab folks. You would definantly have post some pictures of the install.
