i have bgf a/t 265/70/17 and want to mount them on kmc enduros which are a 9 inch width.

a lot of poeple say to not do this because it is not safe.

-well the bfg 265/70 i have is 10.43". so why wouldnt this fit on a 9" rim?
-isn't the tire still going to be wider than the rim?

the TRD Sport Alloy Wheels are 17x7.5, with a 10.43" tire (and it makes my tires look like the sidewalls are fat / bulge)

Check this out and tell me what you think.

so i want to mount a 265/70 (10.43" wide tire) on a 9" kmc enduro

(i put BFG's specs at the bottom. what does 1/2" more than the recommended width matter?)

I also have a 265/70-17 on a 9" wheel. Looks fine and no problems. Check out my pics if you'd like.

Thank you. However, I chose tires that are approved for 9" rims in the 265 width. Not all brands and sizes are. You have to check the tire manufactures website.
