I've hauled well over that much with my Tacoma. I suggest using a trailer brake (if possible), if your hauling regularly. The light Tacoma tends to get loose with a heavy trailer.

Also, Welcome to Tacoma World :D

You'll be fine then, no problem. My dump truck broke down on the scales at the quarry once, had to use a tow strap to get it home, which was about 5 miles. It weighed around 18,000 dry, and the 2.7 4cyl had plenty of power to do it. Do you have the 6cyl or the 4cyl?

Heh, yes I did. Tried to get my dad's dodge but he was working on it at the time. I hooked the tacoma up, and had dad drive the dump truck/operate brakes. Couldn't crank it because the water pump locked up and sent the fan into the radiator. Had to use 4lo to get started, then switched to 2h after about 15 mph. It was interesting, but it did it with no complaints. Everyone that saw it was speechless. Wish i would have taken a video. :(

I'm towing a 2012 Edge M21 also. I have the V6 auto with factory tow package, a WD hitch, sway control and brake controller and have no problems except poor (10 MPG) mileage at turnpike speeds. Truck is comfortable towing the M21 through the hills of New England. By the way, look into joining the Heartland Owners Club--we did the Bath,NY rally a few weeks ago and had a blast.

Nice trailer, it looks to have reasonable ground clearance and overall height. A lot of modern trailers seem to be all jacked up in the air for no good reason and making the trialers sit high makes for a lot more wind resistance. Your trailer looks to have relatively good aerodynamics compared to some.
