If you are running a solid state fridge it will kill the battery in about 2 days unless you turn it off at night they are not that efficient freeze a gallon of water at home and put it in the fridge that helps. You'll need some kind of load center with your remote battery.

    Correct.
You install a second fuse-box off the auxiliary battery. That's the setup I have in my diesel LandCruiser

Pretty straightforward, but you have to figure out where you want the fuse-box
I installed it on the passenger side inside the cab. Just have to run a positive and a negative wire from the aux battery through the firewall to the aux fuse box

I run my Engel MT-60 fridge off it and it works great

Can post some pics if you need them

Surpont you are the man. Pics would really help. I had an idea this would be the case but didn't want to start a vehicle fire if I don't have too. Thank you for confirming my suspicion

Yes the ones that do not have a compressor or a flame. And yeah you'll need some thing to connect it to, lacking that at least an in line fuse.

I've got a dual battery setup with a deep cycle RV/Marine battery under the hood. I had to ditch the stock intake and re-route it. Needed to do that anyway for running 315's. I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow when it's light out.

Yea that's the route I'm going as well deep cycle 1000CCA blue top. I have enough space to fit both batteries together.

Here's a picture of where I put the deep cycle. I re-routed the air intake through a hole so that it's drawing air from right next to the headlight. Some will argue that this hinders performance, but I haven't noticed a single difference from the seat of my pants or at the gas pump. I also created a custom battery tray so that it would sit level on top of the wheel well.

I have a little more space with the 4 banger I had to modify my stock battery tie down to hold the optima.

I opted for a toggle switch on the dash to a 200amp relay. I had it from a previous stereo install.
