Photo is from the Toyota pressroom gallery. Note the torn rear mud flap and rocker panel damage.

I don't see Toyota offering sliders as genuine accessories (like they do with the FJ). Wonder which shops made these?

No, ARB is not offering sliders for the current 5th Gen 4Runners. Trust me, I keep asking. Might be Trial Gear's or a one off that Toyota built specifically for the Rubicon test.

There is trail damage in the rear door rocker panels on both sides. Should've gotten kickouts... And it's interesting they taped shut the hood skewp.

If you read the story they took pre production 4Runners out on the Rubi.

So that's how we found ourselves standing next to a pair of camouflaged, prototype 2010 4Runners at the Loon Lake entrance to the Rubicon Trail.

Cool article. So the sliders were "homemade" after all.

Ever since reading that article I've had my heart set on a 4Runner Trail Edition. Picked up a black one in May 2010 and have only had a ARB bar and BFG AT KO's added to it. More to come as money becomes available...
