Help! How do I remove 2012 AC Rear Headrests?

For those folks with a 2012 AC, the rear seats have those ungodly (fed-mandated) rear headrests? They are huge and in the way. Anyone try this? Have pictures? I did try loosening the 2 12mm bolts that are visible upon removing the rectangle plastic pop on piece just below the headrest, this did not free the headrest for removal. Heck I'd like to remove the rear seats while I'm at it too!

There is a good thread on here with pics but there should be a couple of bolts if I remember right then a bunch of clips just be careful where you pull from. The thread specified not to pull from a certain are

thx i wll go try it now. l didnt think it was all snaps we shall see if the 12 is diffrent or not

That looks exactly like my 2010. You don't need to pull the whole panel, just the top row of clips, and you'll be able to get a 10mm socket down there. I made a couple wedges from a scrap of 2x4 to hold it away while I unbolted them.

Worth the effort. It's like a whole different truck back there without those damn things.
