I made a couple extra oil catch cans.

This is "plug and play" set up. $75 shipped (lower 48 states). ............ Last one was sold

    You will receive:
    (1) 2 1/2" PVC catch can (fully assembled)
    (1) external filter (will be attached to hose)
    (2) 2' 3/8" fuel line
    (4) small hose clamps
    (1) holder (powder coated black)
    (1) bolt (fits threaded hole on inner fender)

    Good Idea.

    From Wiki:
An oil catch can is used in turbo applications, or high-performance race applications where excessive blow-by (leakage past the piston rings) of air and fuel vapor occurs. This creates a positive pressure in the crankcase. Engine manufactures have placed a valve on the engine block which releases this pressure. This valve is known as a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve. During engine operation, blow-by gases, as well as oil mist from the rotating components of the engine, pass through the PCV valve and are routed back into the intake for the engine to burn off. However, some of the oil mist and other products settle along the engine intake and over time form a "gunk." The oil catch can collects the oil mist and condenses the fuel vapors while allowing "cleaner" gases to be passed back into the intake. Typically the blow-by gasses are passed through a wire mesh, which give the vapor droplets something to adhere to. Since the oil catch cans condense the vapor portion of the gasses, they will need to be drained periodically of all the oil, fuel and other contaminants.

At 25k miles I installed a SC and when we removed the intake manifold we discovered it had a layer of oil inside. I wish I had installed one when I bought the truck.

Is the fuel filter really necessary? Or what is your thinking behind that....?

It was recommended in case the disks vibrating and abrading small amounts of plastic over time.

The filter was only $5 and so far I found a drop trying to sneak by.

Here is what the OCC has trapped after 800 miles, though I am supercharged so non SC engines will be less.

I was surprised to find a light brown colored liquid in the OCC on my last oil change.

A re-flash was required for the supercharger (larger injectors and what not).

    SOLD.............................

Bought a 42 draft designs - Stealth Oil Catch Can in GB.

I have one used "pipe bomb" style OCC with mounting bracket. Was used in my truck and there is nothing wrong with it. Hoses and external filter not included.

Both my DIY OCC and the "stealth occ" pulled the same amount of oil.

    $35 shipped.
