Really? I've always felt like they look like drag slicks even brand new.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Those seem like a horrible choice in an "off-road" tire to me, and are more likely to blame than the size/width.

Fancy looking AT, 6-ply radial, 2-ply sidewall, 16/32 TD, and the tread width is only 10.5". I think worst thing they have going is the tread/lug design. Not enough spacing, and lateral traction is sacrificed for the "tribal" design.

    Duratracs.
Heard they do very well in snow (rated for it) & are good in mud as well for a more aggressive All Terrain tire
...plus they look pretty good too

BFG KM2 is surprisingly a bit lighter than BFG AT of the same size. Wonder why...

The guy at Discount Tire pretty much sold me on the Duratracs (over BFG All Terrains) he says he runs some on his jeep and one of his buddy's runs em on his Taco. Had nothing but good things to say about the tire.

Of course KM2's are gonna be better for mud/crawling up rocks... but if you're using your rig for a DD then I'd recommend Duratracs FTW

Daily driver with KM2's here! :D

I've done three 800 mile trips and one 1,200 mile trip. Absolutely no complaints with them, and the still have plenty of tread on them.

Had KM2's, great tire. I now own Duratracs.. WOW what an amazing tire...

sure the KM2's have a so called stronger side wall .. but im no rock crawler so it was a moot point..

The duratracs wear better, ride smoother and quieter and have lots of grip to keep you planted.

Hands down will buy duratracs again.

Took my 2013 DCLB TRD Sport with the Baja Suspension package and 265-75-16 Duratrac's on her very first hunting trip yesterday!

The suspension is amazing on washboard / pot hole FSR's (Forrest Service Roads) and the grip that the Duratrac's provided was equally amazing! Even in 2x4 there was no slipping...

Couldn't emagine going out there on the stock Dunlop AT/20's!

Not only that, I was able to tag my first ever Mule deer as well!

I have duratracs right now, but i really want some KM2's, however, we get lots of winter conditions here, you need winter rated tires to go over the mountain passes, etc. So i have to use the duratracs, that being said i think that they are also a great tire

In the snow the Duratracs are an impressive tire.

Either one in 285 is gonna be mean.
If you want some gas mileage go with the lighter load rating 275 duratracs.
