Re-Intro from SoCal back to TX

Howdy all, it's been awhile since I've logged on so I figured I'd re-introduce myself.

I originally registered back in 2008 when I first bought my Taco. From 2008 - 2009, I've added a bunch of modifications such as: adding TRD Supercharger with TRD air filter, replacing the standard headlights to a Glossy Black Halo LED Projector with EFX 12K (Blue) HIDs, replaced the fog lights with EFX 10K (Blue/White) HIDs, replaced the taillights with InPro Car Wear "Bermuda Black" LEDs and finally switched out the standard rims/tires to a 20" chrome Zinik Z26 Vieri with black inserts.

Not long after I finished modifying my Taco. The company I worked for transferred me to Los Angeles, CA. From that point on, I've continued to add a few more mods such as: switching out the amber signal lights to a "phantom" silver-off amber bulb, added a stainless steel guage face from CarID, and finally got custom racing stripes painted on by Galpin Auto Sports in Van Nuys, CA (the premium auto shop featured on MTV's Pimp my Ride).

After four fun years of living in sunny California - I felt "homesick" for Texas. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to get a transfer back to Houston. So much of the city I called "home" has changed and yet some still stayed the same.

Ever since I moved back, I decided I didn't like the rims I had so I changed it out to 20" chrome KM673 Skitch rims w/ Yokohama Yk580 tires. I've also recently added Huper Optik tinting from EVS Motors (which blocks out both sun & UV rays) and like transition lens, the window tint gets darker in the sun and lighter at night. This insane drive I have for more mods continue on to this day. Who knows what I'll add or replace next...only time will tell.

Welcome back... Moved away from Cali? No more In-N-Out Burger close by! I heard there's some in Texas but few and far inbetween.

Frankly, I don't know what's so special about In-N-Out Burgers...there's only 3 burgers to choose from and yet strangely enough it's very popular on the west coast.

 

I'm in WA State right now, FIVE GUYS is stupid over priced.

I pay $14 and some change for a burger, fries, and a drink.

Just checked out some of your pics Delmarva; you've taken one my favorite childhood games like "I Spy" and turned it around by finding other Tacos in and around town.

I certainly hope there's a Taco meet someday (preferably during the day, nightly meets somehow seem so shady, although the lights would look better at night - lol). Would love to check out all the different Tacos and meet the drivers.

I noticed there's a "local" show off spot on the west side of town every Saturday night around 10 PM at the intersection of Hwy 6 and Westheimer. I wonder, does anyone ever go there? I see it's mostly rice rockets and whatnot but on some occasions, I've noticed a few trucks.

We just had a Houston meet on the 5th but it was an off road meet and from the looks of your truck I don't think that's your thing lol.

 

Yeah, my Taco's not really built for off-roadin' yet it still would've been nice to check'em out. Maybe next time...
