Didn't see if this thread has been addressed..sorry if it has..

'13 TRD Sport with OEM 4pack rears..I'm wanting to get a new leaf pack to compliment my 3" Toytec/Billies C/O's up front,,,I've found the Ironman's on sale for $270,,but I hear everyone swearing by the Dakars $412,,,,I don't off road that much, and it is my daily driver, so ride quality is important...any input from you guys with experience with this is greatly appreciated....(With it being a new truck, is the TSB spring relating still to my truck??...need to know when ordering)..Thanx guys..my first attempt at gettin' it 3" up in the air...!!
A lot of great info on the boards from you guys...BjMoose..Chris 4X4..etc..

A lot of crap and too much money spent
I have the Dakars on my 09 and they are great, ride is very nice. I can't speak to the Ironman set since I have never had them on my truck.

yeah unfortunately there is not yet a large sampling of Ironman users. Good luck, I have enjoyed the hell out of my Dakars. I'd get them again in a heartbeat.

We have had the Ironman full kit on for about a year. Rear leaf springs and shocks and the front suspension also. The lift was about 1.5 to 2'.. The ride is great. I noticed that there is a lot less diving of the front when the brakes are pressed hard. Overall it really improved the truck. I don't like how the front coils discolored after some time. They darkened up and just look awefull but they work good.

2" lift vs 3" lift. I have the IM4x4's because I didn't want a 3" lift. I am happy with the 2 I have. I love the IM's. I have no reason for any other leaf springs.

So Tim was the rear and front both in the 1.5" to 2" range. I'm also lift shopping and will be anxiously awaiting more reports on Ironman leafs.

So the leafs ride decently plush? Have you loaded em down for a test yet?

I have. They actually carried 2x the stock load without hitting bumps. I wouldn't recommend it a lot, but they are designed for extra weight just like the Dakar's. Remember that Aussie companies don't design "lifts," they design greater weight carrying suspensions. If it happens to lift your car/truck, then that's what it does.

My ride is better than stock when a bit of weight in the rear.

Do IM leafs squeak? I was about to pull the trigger on Dakars and then remove a leaf, but thought this might be a better option.

Yes, but no more than dakars do. Just keep them greased up with silicon spray and you are fine.

Which leaf pack did you get? A,B,C or D? I assume you obtained ~2" of lift by your previous post?

I have a leer shell and sometimes carry a large warn winch in the back, but I can take it out. Trying to figure out which leaf pack I would need...sometime I hate having choices.

I've owned both, how much weight do you carry in the bed?

My bed weight is pretty dynamic. I always have the leer shell, which I'm guessing is 180lbs (not sure the exact weight). I'm about to have another 150lb winch back there, which is removable. Not sure if I'm going to leave that back there during the summer. During winter it's full of hunting stuff, but I've never really weighed it.

In summary I'll probably range from 210-450 depending on what I'm doing. Probably lower in the summer months and heavier in the winter. I haven't decided if I'm going to carry that winch around. (Getting a hitch cradle made for it)

IM states their leafs allow for about 450 more lbs of capacity. Not sure about the dakars if I take a leaf out.
