I need to order a replacement trim plastic piece thats right under the passenger vent by the radio (black piece as pictured). Anyone know where to order and what's part number? I DO NOT have the airbag option so i only need the plastic piece.

    Thanks in Advance.

My 2005 Tacoma has some sort of electrical plug that isn't being used (see attachment). Any ideas or threads that deal with what that can be used for? I'd like to attach a cellphone holder to that spot, but the weight pulls that cover right out.

That's the airbag control wire that would be used if you had a Taco with the manual switch.

Gotcha. Any threads you know about that use that wire to mod something else?

What kind of mods do you mean?

It's probably best to just leave that wire alone. As far as I know, it still leads to the airbag control unit or whatever it's called. I've always been told if it deals with airbags, leave them be if at all possible. I may be scared for nothing, but better safe than sorry. Just my $0.02. Haha.

If you're talking about mounting a AC plug or something to the black plastic cover, that has been done lots of times. Just push the airbag wire to the side in that case.
