Delivery of my Tacoma came with the optional OEM carpet mats. They were a very super light grey in color so I replaced them with black Toyota TRD optional all season rubber/vinyl mats. Next, replaced the Toyota TRD mats since they left minor gaps at their edges and after reading all the BS here on TW, replaced them with Weathertech digital fit liners. The Weathertech digital fit liners are nice, but the set I received has a one inch gap between the mat and the kick panel on both sides (from day one). The Weathertech’s do the job very well even if the fit sucks – I still prefer the looks of the Toyota TRD rubber mats, and they were half the price of the Weathertechs. Currently, when the weather improves, summer and fall, the Weathertechs are replaced with the Toyota TRD mats.
There are also other mats out there that will serve you well.

if you want to pay more and brag that it is the best, go for weathertech floor liners, you get a plasticky feel material plus the extra logo from weather tech, but if you want a really nice fitting liner go for the less expensive and good rubber plastic feel of the Husky liners, perfect fit and no holes, Husky does not move even a bit, it covers all the way up the pedals and dead pedal, almost ordered the weathertech but when I saw one in the Tacoma, no second thought I went with Husky's and no regret.

Could it be that there's something out there that's far more superior? Weathertech Digital Fit FTW!!!

    I just don't get it.

My wife has an '04 Rav4.
Still has the factory cloth mats.
They're matted down and faded, but they are solid.

I had an '03 Tundra. Never replaced the mats.
I had an '08 4-Runner company car. Never replaced the mats.

I put genuine Toyota mats in my Tacoma and I've got a hole under my heel in less than 2 months. Been through 4 sets of mats... fukkit, tossed a set of Pep Boys mats on top of the carpeted mats.

I don't need, nor do I care for the look or feel of Weathertech. For those who off-road, I totally get it, but I like carpet under my feet.
    Gaaahhhh!!!!!!!!!!
