I have been back to the dealer numerous times and basically told that there was nothing they could do. I've written numerous times and been on the phone and was told that there was nothing they could do. I was told on the phone today that although a limited service recall has been issued my vin is not included and it hasn't reached Delaware yet. There was something about where my truck was manufactured having to do with excluding it from the rust recall? I would have done my best to be patient and hope my truck doesn't fall apart in the process while I waited for the recall to reach my state but now I'm being told my vin won't even be included!? I have reached out to legal counsel and have a meeting. My question is if you've had your rust issue remedied by the dealer where and when was you truck manufactured? I feel like every time I speak with someone I'm either being lied to or sent in a different direction. I think it is justified because I was asking for help even before the recall, after the recall was started and I had no knowledge of it before finding it on here not a word was spoken of it. Now when I call it to their attention I'm told my vin is not included. I need answers!

You know how to find out if vin is included in recall?
What dealers you take it too?

If there was a 2nd gen frame recall wouldn't there be like 1000 threads on it already ?

    Read this:

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2n...ce-campaign-corrosive-resistant-compound.html

Delaware is supposedly included in this "generous" offering from Toyota. When- no one knows, only Toyota.
There's a date of 3/2016 for people to get their frames inspected. If there is sufficient frame rot, Toyota will replace the frame. If not, you get this non drying tar sh*t sprayed on most* of the frame and Toyota writes you off and if something happens down the road, tough fkn sh*t.

As of now, it's 5 or 6 states eligible for the service. Everyone else on the included states list has to wait. I'm in Virginia and I'm expecting we are green lit sometime next year.

Yup. The crosmember is open at both ends from the factory and the hole is by the drivers side cat.
I might just get a big ask me about my rusted frame sticker to put on my bent tailgate..

Just sucks overall, it's not the dealerships even though they catch all the flack for being the messenger. Toyota world has always provided great service and I've heard the same about CFSwartz, they were prompt in their replies and inspects for this issue, it's the message they were instructed to give that I don't agree with. Corporations like Toyota don't care about anything but money and it's really a shame that they put their service techs and managers in the position they do. I bought this truck because of the reputation of reliability Tacoma's have, I didn't realize my hand would be forced into asking an industry leading corporation to make good on their faulty product.

I feel sick every time one if these threads pop up. I too bought a toyota due to the good reputation. I live in the winter salt belt and fear im stuck with a vehicle that will rot away from underneath me. Everyone needs to make complaints with the ntsb, states attorney generals and so on, its obvious toyota wont make this right with out some outside pressure.
