How much Fatmat do I need?

To do the 4 doors on a 05 DC?

 

in reply to your pm, elemental designs has since changed the name of their sound deadening. i'm not sure what "mil" mine is. also, i have heard nothing but bad things about fatmat. stay away...

 

It all depends on how many layers you are planning to do, and if you layer the inside the door, outside, or both, then how many layers you put in each spot.

When I did mine I did 2 layers inside the front doors and 1 layer on the inside of the back doors. I used 30-36sq.ft

 

Suggestions on brand and where to get it? Seems rather expensive, even on ebay.

I used Raammat (TW Discount). I roll (15" x 50 ft) was enough to do all four doors and have some left over for the back area behind the driver's side rear seat. I did the entire inside and outside of the door and I put a double layer directly behind the speaker. I also covered the area inside the door panel with ensolyte (also on the site). Make sure you clean the inside of the door before putting it on. There's a lot of dust & dirt in there.
