    Im upgrading my head unit in my 2nd gen and i can not figure out how to take the hazard switch/ clock out!!!! starting to get frustrated.

    PIAA driving lights,Pioneer AVH-P3300BT stereo with HD radio and Axxess steering wheel control adapter,rearview mirror mod,ReTrax rolling cover,Demello front bumper,WeatherTech,10 inch woofer,500 watt amp,CB in armrest, heated Wet Okole seat covers,Spidertrax spacers, ARB twin compressor,Ikon 10,500lb wireless winch,A-pillar RAM mount,Pull-Pal,electric locking tailgate
    There are two pieces to come out. The black cover and the white cover.
    Both have 4-6 little clips sticking out you have to pull back so the things slide out.
    What I did was used 4 razor blades to hold each clip out while I pulled the piece out.
    Then the 2 pieces go back in the new dash piece and they snap back into it.
    This is the hardest part of changing out the HU.

    the sound of the snap it makes when you put it into the new dash kit is such a relief

    Yes- changing that part is a pain in the ass! I used several thick zip ties pushed in next to the hazard/clock unit to hold the clips away.
