im looking to paint my fenders black.

is (Matte black) just another name for (flat) black?? or is there a real difference?

im thinking of herculining the fenders but i like the stock flat black look

can anyone suggest a good paint to use, and the closest color to (matte black) ?

    thanks

I herculined my bumpers and grill surround on my 1st gen. Keeping them looking good and touching them up was a pain in the ass. I don't know how well the paint will hold up. GL.

Matte and Flat are different altho it's mainly on technicalities...They are both finishes designed to absorb vice reflect light. They can be harder to care for...but if prepared/done correctly you'll be fine.

Duplicolor makes a great product and they have a variety of black finishes, as well as a "wheel paint" that is suspposed to be a bit more durable...Herculiner is pretty dull too- altho matte is not what I would call it.
