Has anyone seen this process or tried it? Seems incredibly cool. If you haven't seen it, punch in Hydrographics in YouTube.

Yeah, that is the coolest sh1t I've seen in a long time. Thanks for posting the vid. I'm challenged with stuff like that, especially on the iPhone.

 

anyone know how strong the film is? what kind of abuse can it withstand before scratching?

 

what about a hard scratch vs. wear over time?

 

That's a pretty dope process. 1st time I seen it was on American Chopper where they did hydrographics on the tank and fender, and the whole thing came out covered in $100 bill graphics

 

I am 80% sure there was a thread on this somewhere before, but I can't remember the context of what it was talking about.

 

One of the videos I saw showed them clear coating over it once it was dry so I assume if you do that it's pretty damn durable!

 

Not sure if you guts ever got your questions answered about this stuff. First I find that guy irritating ha. The process is pretty simple once you are trained on it. It is as durable as a paint job. That is what it is. The clear coat gives you your hardness. Spend money on good clear to get good results. I have a shop that does this. If you want more info check out the links in my sig.

I have been running Hydrodipped wheels for around 2 years on my Evo...

 

If you don't mind sharing, how much did it cost you to get your wheels done.

 

I would think he was charged $100-$120 a wheel.
