These are outstanding UCAs. Solid construction. I've had mine for a couple years. A few of drops of triflow every oil change and uniballs still look new no noise either. Great buy.

I'm in. Been looking for a used pair of TC UCAs but haven't been able to act quicklyy enough. These sound like they are pretty comparable for half the price! And it helps out a fellow Californian.

This link helped me make my decision. Just a review with pics but since I had never heard of Built Right, it helped a bunch!

How would the ball joint hold up in the eastern climate?

Awesome. I have seen a trend, people are looking to get SPC or Camburg with ball joints and decide to go this route for the price. Spread the word and take care

If you are referring to up north, these would perform like any other UCA. As mentioned they include a 1" SS uniball, with proper maintenance/lubrication these will last you plenty years. Covers can be bought for the uniball as well if this makes you feel more comfortable to prevent as much grime and dirt getting to them.

It's better to use a Teflon grease than put covers on the univalves. A cover will hold moisture in and make the uniball wear out faster.

Thank you for your input and clarification, some swear by the cover

These particular ones I have a group buy unfortunately do not, built right does produce UCA's for 1st gen tacomas but I honestly am trying to keep it to one UCA to avoid too large of a group to handle. Dont be afraid to start a group buy of your own, the truck shop has been very helpful and supportive throught the process. Good luck

Edit: Sorry if I come off as a d***, dont mean to

They keep a good stock on hand at all times. So shipping should be immediate once the GB ends.

James is a good close friend of mine and his shop has built everything on my truck.

Look up skygear's build thread and one of the last pages shows his icons with the cover and what his uniballs look like after one winter.

I have an OME lift sitting in the garage waiting for some new UCAs before I install it...

I've been looking at LR UCAs mainly because of the price but these BR UCAs look pretty beefy.

Someone convince me that these are $100 mo' betta than the LR ones... What's the advantage of the uniball compared to the OE ball joint?

    Appreciate it...

I would assume the main difference is the Uni ball is not a POS like the LR ones I have

So I'm planning on also doing a spindle lift and someone stated I'd need heim uni balls for that also. Would these work good with maxtrac?
