I was wondering since we can't get a truck with Navigation here can I buy a factory one and swap it and the Navigation work?

Mine has factory navi that works great! If you like, you can get an aftermarket HU too which might be better than a factory unit. I had a kenwood in my Mazda that was pretty awesome.

 

Cool servco said no when I asked about adding it to my truck. I guess they just didn't want to deal with it.

 

That's messed up. Both my '13 tacoma and '14 4Runner have touchscreen navi. I'm pretty sure other members has bought used factory HUs with navi, and worked fine.

I got that one and retrofit it into my older truck. I like it.

You just don't get the XM radio and Entune services. Everything else works fine. Laziness if you ask me.

My friend retook it, he feels really good about it.

I think I'm on step 7 or 8 of 13. I have turned in my PHQ and PHS, took the pre-psyc, and just got my first interview date set for November 14. If I pass the clarification interview then I'll get a conditional offer of employment and have to attend the physical trainability test in December.

 

I want one to play with too hehe...parts are hella easy to get, if they weren't so damn expensive

did you get the results of the pre-psyc? I think that's the biggest hurdle.

 

This test was easier than the last time I took it. The last test was pretty tough.
