A while back i removed reflector from housing to paint as im doing a retrofit. i broke each white part on L/R side that goes to ball joint type socket on housing. does that mean i wont be able to adjust them anymore? How do you remove that without breaking it? Do I need a new set of HL? or can that lil piece be bought?
    Thanx

If its the piece I think you are trying to explain you can buy them individually. This is the piece that has a bolt connected to a plastic piece used to adjust the beam, and you broke that plastic piece off, correct? I did the same...instead of replacing I just used heavy duty loc tite and threw a nut on there with a few threads so I can adjust it whenever, problem solved and you don't have to go through the headache of replacing those things.

Which part is broken the inside that fits into the reflector or the fingers that hold the ball joint? Those fingers hold the light stable as the 3rd point of contact in the housing because the only other thing holding the reflector is the adjustment screws.

    1. If you broke one of the fingers, finish your retro, put the lights back together with the metal ball joint in the white tab and epoxy the finger back on. If you ever have to take it out again expect it to break.

    2. If you broke the base, just epoxy it back on.

    3. Try a local NAPA. When I found that my adjustment tabs were stripped I checked NAPA and they had a listing for tabs inside of the headlight. See first post if yours are messed up aswell.

To take the reflector out of the socket loosen the adjustment screws evenly. You'll see once the outside of the lens is out a little farther than the other side with the ball joint on it. Now it's time to take the ball joint off, use both thumbs on either side of the clip and push out.

    Hope this helps

You can buy the little white socket at the dealer (or maybe NAPA, etc.) or just epoxy it back together. As mentioned above though, if you go the epoxy route, prepare to have it break again if you need to take the lights apart for any reason. Make sure they are adjusted correctly before you seal them up.
