I need amber or clear 4157 LED bulbs. I'm installing new headlights and my '09 has the running lights that melt the plastic. The LEDs run cooler but so far I haven't found any at Pep Boys, etc. Does anyone have them? Where did you get them?

eBay. Just make sure you buy from a US seller. The cheap ones from China are different and will keep blowing the fuse (the polarity is reversed or something). I've had my LED switchbacks for almost 2 years with no problems.

Thanks. I'm watching a couple of them in case I can't find them locally. Walmart has SYLVANIAs, but they're blue. I dont know what that would look like behind a yellow lense...GREEN?

You are going to get hyper flash when you turn your blinkers on. Resistors or there's a mod in TW somewhere you can grind down the resistor loop inside the flasher relay. I did the latter and it worked.

Thanks for the tips. Both of you. I contacted superbrightleds.com and ordered the correct lights for my (our) application. You can't just use any 3157 or 4157 LED bulbs. I didn't know. I got the ones with fewer L.E.D.s. I know they wont be as bright. I don't need bright. That company has a real time customer service rep that will talk to you right now about what bulbs to use without leaving the page! I'm also planning on doing the flasher mod. I found that to be VERY helpful! My 2009 already has factory L.E.D. tail lights. I don't know if that matters. I think that the rear flashers are still incandescent. I'm not looking forward to crawling around to get the relay out, but it's better than fast flashers or burned headlamps.

I bought the 3157 A-18 ck. I didn't get them yet. SUPERBRIGHTLED.COM .Ill write up a report when I start the mods. The black Halo/Projectors are from CARiD. I also haven't gotten them yet. I shaved down the flasher loop already. Its pretty thin. I'm thinking its thin enough. I also cut off the locking tab for the flasher so that it will be easier to remove next time....if there is a next time.

Overpar, I just did the blinker mod and tested it with a buddies LED bulbs. It works great. I guessed and shaved about 50% off. Thanks to the tip. I'm still not sure if I'm going to wire the Halos and LEDs together in the new headlights. I think ill hook them up to the side marker lights so they aren't always on.

I got my LED bulbs today. I got the ones with only 18 leds and they are plenty bright and flash correctly. I recommend the CK-18 3157 bulbs from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM

A good tip was to turn on your blinkers and feel around. It's a big, noisy box on the side of your fuse block behind your change compartment.

Yeah I can hear it down there, I havent looked for it just yet though. Truck is at the dealer getting the airbag system looked at. Im assuming the passenger seat sensor went out on it. Only 8000 miles on the truck too.
