Nobody is incorrect here. t4daddy is correct in that the bulb will only fit in the housing one way if seated properly. The OP stated that he installed the bulbs incorrectly and that they were not fully seated. It sounds like everything has been resolved now. OP, do you have any photos of the light output now that they are installed correctly?

You need to be a bit further than 2 feet to show cutoffs.

I don't see any cutoff when compared with halogens. The above image is from someone doing a retrofit showing off his halogen cutoffs. I feel you're going to be blinding people still.

Without projectors, I don't think it's possible to get a clean cutoff line, or much of a cutoff at all. Regardless, they still seem to have much less glare than HIDs

That's correct. If you look at the photos posted by weendoggy in this thread you can see a comparison between the stock halogens and Brite Ass LEDs in stock headlight housings. You will see that the light output is spread over the same area as the stock halogens, but with much better brightness and consistency (rather than focused on one spot).

Yea, I bought a pair back in Nov and you get tons of ambient light. To me, it makes all the reflectors in the road and streets signs stand out, almost glowing. I haven't had any oncoming traffic flash their headlights at me, so I take it that I'm not blinding them. I seems to only really bother the people directly in front of me, I pretty much light up the whole inside of their car and I've seen some people block the glare with their hand or flip the rear view mirror. One of my friends, who has a sports car, asked if my headlights were always that bright. He said if it wasn't for his auto-dimming rear view mirror, I would have been blinding him.. LOL :D

Do you honestly think you're not blinding on coming traffic then?......

My headlights do the same (I'm nose high) and I blind the shit out of oncoming traffic. I think you're incorrect in your assumption.

:pAlthough I really liked their light output, I just pulled a set from Lifetime LEDs out of my '05 Tacoma for a couple reasons....this leads to a couple questions about the Brite Ass LED units.

    1. Does anyone else have a 2M Ham radio installed in their Taco AND the LED headlights? The set I removed created a substantial amount of radio interference. Even with ferrite chokes installed, the interference was enough to render previously clear stations unreadable.

    2. Although they generate almost no heat by design, I've found this also means LED headlights will not "melt" freezing fog or other forms of accumulating frozen precipitation from the headlight cover. Removing it via scraper (bad idea) or spray-on ice melter leaves a lot to be desired....especially if I'm driving... :p

    Looking forward to any comments.

    Regards...

    Kenny

Funny but doesn't actually make sense.

Should we feel bad if you post a thread where your truck gets vandalized? Or just write our names on your paint also?

I tend to take issue with people wishing vandalism to other's possessions.
