    Question: What is anti-squat?

So the truck doesn't squat under load?

Step on gas, rear end goes up, and not down. That's anti squat in the crudest of explanations.

what does that do as far as how the suspensions working(from bumps) under engine load(antisquatting)

will you experience a locked out suspension?

    Lots of expensive shit
Your over thinking it trying to.figure out percentages. Keep your pinion change.reasonable, the plunge reasonable, and make sure the instant center is somewhere in front of the flywheel.

    this

Also, you could make the upper link mounts have holes at two different heights so you can play around with different settings. No set number is perfect, different drivers like more/less anti-squat setups

IIRC, where the upper links and trailing arms hypothetically meet

No clue, never took the time to measure it out. It is going to change per vehicle with wheelbase and tire size differences. This is just a starting point as your taco frame had similar rack to my 85 frame. This will have more anti squat then say your typical ranger with a giant link kit.

Anti squat is just a relation to how much force your suspension gemoetry will push down on the tires during acceleration or braking. But whats funny is with all your big shocks, bypasses, valving, spring rates, and ect you can counter act a poorly designed suspension. Just get the bitch in the desert!

Exactly. I wouldn't even worry about plunge, obviously you don't want 10" but a couple isn't going to hurt as long as you have the slip accounted for.

I did this, never changed it once I got it set lol.

ATO front skid (need more but icon's might fail if I hang anything else from my truck) All-Pro front bumper thanks to a good deal here and a pesky encounter with a rock or 20, total chaos uppers.
Another learning curve question. Is it worth it to run triple bypasses in the rear vs doubles? I know the triples allow more tuning but not sure if its worth the extra $ (getting DMZ springs and shock hoops)

no, one here NEEDS tripples or doubles a properly valved smoothie and a bump will be fine. If your getting your shit from Tim just ask him to set you up with a good starting point on valving.

The only reason I have tripples in the back of my truck is because I got them for a bargain. (race takeoff from the ICS T-100) im running .08's on rebound and .10 or .12 on compression or a mixture of the two (honestly forgot, it was a set it and forget it sorta deal), rebound tubes are screwed about half way in, i didnt mess with the first compression tube at all. And the last compression tube is turned all the way in and it rides like butter.

ohh and I dont run an air bump, just an old poly POS to keep my shocks alive, I rarely even touch the bump out back. Get your shit out in the dirt and dont worry about all the cool do-dads and buzz word parts its only taking away your funds to get out in the dirt and play!
