    where's a better part of town to stay in (baton rouge) that's near where I-10 or I-12 pass through town. need to get a hotel for a night tomorrow that can acomodate a trailer in their parking lot (so no parking garages)

    Many places available with open lots. There are very few hotels in this area that have garages, as far as I know.

    I'm thinking in the area of I-12 and Airline Hwy would be your best bet; unless you're heading to New Orleans, then I suggest Siegen Lane. Both exits have off/on-ramps that I imagine would be the most "trailer friendly", and a couple of hotels scattered about.

    College Drive is more of a headache, traffic wise, but has the most options as far as lodging.

    I'm not sure about just BR girls but if you follow 190 back towards Opelousas and stop at a few gas stations you're bound to pick up a nice cheap one somewhere. :stirthepot:

    Bowen, this is the tree I was telling you about last week. slid sideways down a hill, caught the tree mid slider (no damage), but the only way to go was forward. tree fit between the slider and tire. crunched the bedside, and then go stuck between the inside edge of the tire and the frame rail.

    Thanks for the earlier advice, guys. For our first date we ended up going to her friend's bbq. :) Really wanted to go to a river bar she spoke about, but it didn't work out that way. Still fun, though.

    So, a few things I've learned about LA:
    - Extremely happy I have King Shocks and 4wd to be on these horrendous streets.
    - The hwy is a used car lot. How do so many cars break down and get abandoned??
    - Drivers won't let you in to exit, even when you have a blinker on, make eye-contact, and ask nicely.
    This list will grow.... :)
