radio problems

HI I am Ripat, has anyone else had trouble with their radio in a 2009 tacoma

 

Uh, what kind of troubles. I have heard of some radios shutting off inadvertantly.

They will shut off randomly not respond to the buttons. It is a known issue, contact your dealer and they can work on getting a replacment. A word of caution however, i heard some are haveing a bit of a wait to get this fixed as there was a large backorder on the head units.

 

yes that is what my radio is doing, it just goes off

 

i have already had two replaced going on my third and ive only had the truck going on 3 months seems at this rate im gona have to get it replaced every month

 

the toyota dealer ordered me a radio today, and told me they were back ordered

 

ya mine took about a week to come in. but i talked to the service guy and he said hes had ppl come in and there on the 5 or 6 radio. if this problem continues i guess it gives me a reason to put a screen in my truck and hook up the rear camera.

 

what is the deal on the back up camers, why does it not come already hooked up

My volume knob inadvertently stops working. Pretty annoying. I guess I'll wait until my 5000 mile service to get it fixed.

 

I can't believe Toyota hasn't addressed this formally yet...

 

before you take it in for the 5000 mile service call a week ahead so they can order you a new radio so u can get everything done at once.

 

My radio is working fine so far, my bass in the back sucks. Sounds like someone is blowing into a mic.
I'm going to look into the TSB to get it replaced.

 

Mine turns itself on at Random, not good. I usually forget to turn it down, and AC DC comes on full bore....
