I don't know the exact rating but I have seen it hold pretty well up to ~250 psi so the 15-20 that they are charging there shower too should be no chore. I just wonder how well the schedule 40 would do to prolonged exposure to the sun and weather, I have seen it get pretty bleached and brittle. Paint would probably solve that problem though.

 

Heating the water in my neck of the woods would be no problem, but what about for you guys in cold country?

Any suggestions other than just heating water on the stove and adding it?

Is sched 40 PVC come big enough to hold 5 gals of water without being longer than the bed?

One of my wheelin' buddies in Germany had a heat exchanger that used the engine coolant to heat the water. It worked pretty well, after a day on the trail. It did take a while to warm up on cold mornings though...

Hey anyone running the ARB twin through a blue sea fuse box? I am wondering if I can run the fuses through that, or if it has to go straight to the battery.

THe fuses that come with it on its wiring harness are 40 amp each. That 80 of your 100 amps that a blue sea is rated.

 

I was looking at it last night and a 6" diameter pipe @ 47" long is just over 5 gallons. I will probably end up doing 2 smaller ones" Maybe 3" diameter, 47" long each so they will fit on the roof rack nicely and just connect them together with some fittings.

 

Ohh wow! I haven't got it in yet so I haven't looked at the directions yet. I will go direct to the battery.

 

Maybe I missed it, but how do you pressurize the PVC? Is there an air comp nozzle or something?

 

How would you keep power for that fridge just a generator? I killed the battery on my truck camping this week just charging my phone from the bed outlet...

 

I have one of his earlier versions. It works great, and it gets a lot of use in the summer months for us. In fact I'm getting ready to put it back on the truck!

 

There was a valve to pressurize it with an air pump when you were ready to use it.

 

Can you give a detailed review? Pros/cons? Worth the price or a DIY project?
