    Boooo....

Yes, I love mine. I think the only downsides to mine are: I can't use my truck bed as a tripod base to get above the crazy tourists in Yellowstone and on my Teton trips I would usually get up super early, run around and take pics, go back to camp and take a nap, hike and take more pics.
And if you were a person who wanted to stay multiple days in one place it could be a pain since you're completely immobile while the tent is up.

    Bobby says that's not true

Because I've been debating what to do about the trip - honestly been thinking of calling it off.
    My options are currently:
keep with my original itinerary and head out saturday to run around the north end of the beartooth, then off to morrison on sunday.
problems with this plan is that mike and ben won't be coming until sunday and they want to run the same roads that i was planning on driving on saturday which means that either i run the roads again or sit and wait for them until sometime in the afternoon or run morrison and hope that they can find me
other option would be to just wait until sunday when we can all go at the same time
problems with this plan is that it would mean sunday would be at least 12 hours of driving.
another problem with that plan is that, if things around my apartment keep with the norm, my jackass neighbor will probably have his TV blaring until 2 or 3 am. that means I'm awake. that means that I'll only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep before I have to get up and start packing and driving. i cannot and will not drive for 12 hours on 3 hours of sleep.
so right now I either need to get out of town saturday morning or i'm going to forget about the meet altogether and take off somewhere else for the 5 days.
    poor Frank!

Lisa, I obviously don't know that area very well but there aren't other roads you could go on in the area to avoid repeating? I feel like that area should have lots to see. I know I won't be missing this trip unless I have to.

what? i already explained all of this to you guys weeks ago.

not really. its a very mountainous area and "wilderness" - basically no access, no development, no roads, nothing.

Monte, you should post up a link to your photo threads from the lander trip last year. I can't remember where you posted them and I need reminding of why I am trying so hard to make this happen ;)

lol. There just isnt any wide open rocky sick ass terrain in the south east. There is red dirt. I would kill to ride out west and wheel for a week. And yes it would be cool to bring the little one. He has to at least be able to communicate. Hope you guys have a good time and be safe (blackdawg).

    I was not shouting

    It was in PM's
Just was told a couple o f weeks ago that Mike and Ben want to drive that same roads that I've been planning on all along - just on different days. Kinda makes it hard to stick together as a group.

The other day I chuckled when I read that post of yours expressing even a slight concern for a clean looking cab.

    Today, my laughter is validated.
