finished my custom exhaust today and was wanting to accompany it with a magnaflow muffler. i will be getting 33s soon so i thought straight pipe with no muffler wasn't going to cut it for power. What do yall think? PS already had flowmaster and that pos's internals fell apart in 6 months. Looking in the $90 range and want to know what yall thought of the sound. Just not to ricey please. oh and if you have a magnaflow are you happy with it.

but really hoping for at least back to stock power. is the magnaflow a straigh through design and if so how is that diff. than straight pipe....would there be any backpressure diff. between straight pipe and if the magnaflow is a straight through design?

yes my truck sounded like it had marbles in the exhaust with my flowmaster at highway speeds....and that was when it was still intact

well i have 2.25" pipe all the way to the front of the bed....i plan to put the 18" mag on it then after it have my 3" pipe out of it to a rear side exit like it is stock. oh and it has stock cat.....so about 5' of 2.25" pipe to 18" muffler to about 4' of 3" pipe.

the 3" is already one there and isn't going unless it is some super power sucker

no not from my new 3" i have noticed it ever since i havnt had a muffler...i also dont think that ther is enough 3" to affect it anyways....and ya i have heard of those but also trying to tune the noise level down a bit....not to much just a hair and i think the aero is to loud.

so do you lose power with no muffler of pipe diameter?
