I appreciate what you do for our country man! Not bashing you or your experiance! Just quoting your discount...

The only reason they can give you all that stuff free is because with a little bit of price searching they gave you as low as they could go and plus they through that stuff in because they weren't losing any money at all! That sounds like a great experiance! Everytime i have even called and looked online everything they have priced WAY too high so when you call to get a discount or something they discount it to an average price that they are still making a good chunk on! I bought my 6" Pro Comp from a local guy here by me and we went directly through Pro Comp and i think i gave like $1200 just checked 4wp = $1,561.99 - %10 = 1,405.80! So i learned never to deal with them and price shop and make shops fight for your business! With this kind of economy everyone wants to make a sell!

Again! Congrats on your good experiance but i'm telling mine... (Sorry for and spelling or mathmatical errors)

My opinion is that they are horrible.

I ordered rims and tires assembled and with all specs. Rim part number, Tires and directions for mounting letters in. Specified Lug centric and lug pattern as well as truck specs, year, make and model and 1 full set of lug nuts. I received the rims and tires, tires were mounted wrong, twice the number of lug nuts required (charged for them) 2 chrome caps.
Tires weren't a problem I could over look that, however the lug pattern was wrong and so was the rim size! I called to have them ship me the correct stuff and then return the wrong to the same truck. They said I had to pay full price for the new stuff and the buy 3 1 free deal had expired so I had to pay full price for all 4 tires. And I had to get a pay a different truck to return the stuff I didn't want. WTF! I told them I'd pay to send the shit back, however I canceled my payment after the truck left. I won't deal with them again.

This is just my 1 and only experience.

I've dealt with them twice and they messed up both times. Luckily it was in my favor.

Seems they are famous for messing up simple orders. But my favorite is when they try to make the customer pay for their mistake. Tried to make me pay for return shipping for wrong items, and others a restocking fee. Its a shame that some have great experiences with them and others have such horrible ones.

Most that have good though also go to their stores, my issues were phone and internet related.

^ still i think Corporate wouldn't like to loose business regardless of if they know about autos or not. Most business are owned by investors.

It all depends on which location you go to. There are several locations in my area each within a 20-35 min drive from one another. The one that is closest to me sucks big time. I don't know if they have screwed up orders at this location being that I never purchased anything from them. I went in to inquire about gears. The guy told me that the tacoma already has 4.56 gears. I explained to him that it doesn't and that it is 3.73. He went on to ask another employee who supposedly is an expert in toyota's, has owned 2 4runners, 4 trucks,2 old school land cruisers, and even that dumb ass said I have 4.56 stock from the factory  Needless to say I never go there, I do my own research before I buy.

You guys know that 4WP is owned by Transamerica Auto Parts which also owns Pro Comp and SmittyBilt.

Probably the reason they push Pro Comp is because Pro Comp is their in house brand!

If you pay by any method other than CC in my store on purchases over 100.00 you get your refund by mail Via Check. No exceptions. The fact that they are issuing what sounds like a cash refund is pretty cool even if you have to wait. If they wont issue you a refund to your CC then that is BS.

My 4WP experience was crap at first as they did nickle and dime me back when I knew nothing. Since then I go in and deal with the same sales rep every time and he gives me great prices and customer service.

Amazing what happens when you build the hell out of your truck and buy nothing from them over an incident. Now he knows I am serious about my parts and that I will go elsewhere if I dont get the respect and price I need.

I've never had a good experience with 4wp... Their knowledge is shit, nothing is ever in stock and alway's on back order, their communication via phone or e-mail is pretty much (I've had more productive conversations with my autistic nephew and he doesn't speak) non-existant... And then there's the attitude! I alway's get treated like a second rate citizen with those people in store or on the phone... They act like their store is the Bently of offroad shops when in reality they're more like a Yugo and Yugos are extict now, maybe we have something to look forward to!
