    SOLD.

I bought the 2nd gen bed brackets that kbvoodoo sells to put a roof basket on top and have 2 kayaks on the bottom, but our beds aren't deep enough for me to stick both of my kayaks under and still clear the bed brackets, so I'm putting them up for sale. if you're looking for a solution to easily mount your bikes, fishing rods, surf boards, etc. look no further! check the link below to see what people have mounted onto these brackets.

I just received them this week, put them on to test fit, then took them off. there's some scuffs on them from shipping, but that's it - nothing was mounted onto these things at all.

I paid $125 shipped, but I'll take $100 shipped to your door! comes with all the stainless hardware necessary to mount them onto 2nd gen bed rail cleats.

here's some pics of them mounted on the truck:

here's kbvoodoo's thread if you want more pics and ideas of how versatile these things are!

they're great and I wish I had a use for them, but trying to fit 2 kayaks under them doesn't work. could definitely fit 1 kayak in the bed and put the gear on a roof basket mounted onto the bed brackets, but my wife and I always kayak together, so it unfortunately won't work for my purposes.

plenty of other uses for people that bike, fish, surf, ski, snowboard, or anything else that they want to free up some bed space while still able to carry some gear up top!

I was looking for something to carry a yak on last year that would fit under my extang cover. Wonder if these would fit?

Hmmm, you may be able to. Can you fit the bed rail cleats under the tonneau? If so, you should be able to keep these brackets on, unless there's some kind of cross bracing on the tonneau that goes thru the middle in order to keep the cover rigid. Even then, you may be able to arrange the brackets to where they do not conflict w/ the bracing of the tonneau.

If you look at the pics in the op, the hardware barely (if at all) goes above the knob of bed cleat. I don't have a tonneau cover to confirm for you though, unfortunately.

Let me know if I can answer any other questions for you.

I do currently have the cleats on under the cover.

Btw it's an extang solid fold, no x-supports.

    Honeycomb composite sleeper platform.
After completing a sleeper platform build I was thinking of ditching the setup going with a shelf type build. Have you had any success going this route with the bars? Might be able to integrate some of the honeycomb panels with the bars for a light weight bomber build.

I actually haven't tried doing a shelf with these brackets, but you may be able to as the brackets sit almost flush with the bed rail caps.
