Yeah, I was afraid to paint my badges black but I finally was just like "fuck it! I'm doing it today!" and they turned out great!

I used a grinder. I dont think its overkill. It makes for a nice cut. Tin snips will work also. If you live out here I would help. If you want I can take pictures of mine for you. Let me know.

Also, you will more than likely rub at turn while flexed. But it is minimal. This is where the body mount chop mod comes into play. I never bothered since I dont do that much hardcore stuff.

 

good luck derek. Should be easy as long as they dont rub cab mounts, or UCAs(are you running stock wheels? You'll need wheel spacers to clear 285s on em if so). Post pics with em on! Gonna look badass. Oh, BTW that facebook vid you posted made me LOL earlier

Trim asap too. I took a weekend trip to San Diego when I first installed mine. I felt that I would just trim when I got home. Boy did I regret that. It was soo loud and embarrassing. I was in downtown on the weekend. Driving in my sexy truck. Hot chicks walking across the crosswalk. Then I would turn and ........crackcrackcrunchcrunch!!!!!! *Everybody's heads turn and look at me*

Yeah, I'm planning on trimming them as soon as I get home from the 10 mile ride from 4 Wheel Parts.

Hey Derek

Im pretty sure they will trim up your fenders for you. As soon as they put them on they will see that it's rubbing and will most likely ask you to come and check it out. Just tell them to trim where it hits. Here's a LINK of what i had trimmed off. I've trimmed a lot more since then and had my cab mounts chopboxed. Hope that link helps.

Did 4 Wheel Parts install your tires?

I got my tires at Discount/America Tires.

 

Hopefully they'll trim it up at 4 Wheel Parts. They seem professional enough.
