I have read through all the FAQs and research, but I have not found my definitive answer. I know that our trucks stock height can have a 265/75r16 tire (I want to keep 16s) can fit that size without a lift and there are 9/10 no issues. With that being said, I want to level my truck out and put the 265s on it. I want to keep it as efficient as possible without a large lift and huge tires. From what I have gathered, the 5100s are what I would need for a simple leveling or the ready lift kit? Nothing needs to be done to that back of the truck correct (I am VERY new to truck suspensions)? Thanks guys.

All that needs done is the front correct? Nothing needed for the rear?

So with that being said, are there problems that can happen if only the front is leveled?

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
If you only raise the front, make sure to re-adjust your headlights.

So I do not have to make another thread, Ill just bump this one. I made some inquiries about a leveling kit at a local shop here in Oregon. They said that I need a diff drop. I personally think they just want to charge a lot more money to me since I am only doing 2" and from what I have read on here, a simple level wont require a diff drop. Is it just me or are they trying to get more money from me.

My truck has a 2.25 lift on it. No diff drop. I'm happy with it. :)

That's what I figured. The shop (have to use one for warranty reasons) wanted 450 installed and aligned+diff drop for a damn level kit! I thought they were out of their minds.

So instead of getting the ready lift 2.25 for my 2013 double cab I can just buy the 5100 and run them with my stock coils and leave my rear stock to.

Yup. I've been running 5100's on the front with stock coils for a few months now. I have them set at 1.75 with no rear TSB so it's a little nose high. Stock UCA, no problems.

Bowhunter1234 - Still got my stock UCA's. The CV angle on my truck is a little high. Only problem I've had so far was the clamp on my driver side boot. It got loose so I had to take everything apart to change it. Otherwise, nothing serious. (knock on wood).

Ok got a ? Does a TRD Sport 4x4 double cab and a TRD Offroad 4x4 double cab sit at the same height. Just wondering if anyone knew. Just found out the other day to that on the 2015 models you can get them with a lift , wheels and tires. for a extra 6 grand.

yes, both TRD Sport and Offroad sit at the same height. Same with the Prerunner.

Leveling your Tacoma is not a guessing game. Measure your center hub to fender on the front and back. Your rear should be 22", front 20" (with a slight deviation for the driverside due to the battery and if you have a full tank of gas). So in order to "Level it" you need to lift the front 2"...with 5100s the 1.75" setting is the closest to that without going over. Also you should get your Tacoma aligned after leveling your front(if you want to do things right and no have any issues). I would also recommend getting the 5100 on your rear as well for the best overall ride improvement ( You will notice a huge difference in ride quality with the 5100s)

Not only your suspension, but your wheel width (offset) will have an impact on if you have rub issues. I believe you are correct that most people with 265/75/16 on stock wheels have no rub issues. But you will most likely experience some rub with aftermarket wheels (when turning/hitting a bump at the same time). Leveling the front removed all rubbing issues with me.

    This is my setup
    5100s @ 1.75
    265/75/16 on 16x8.5 wheels.

The setting at 1.75" should be used if you have 4 leafs in the back, aka the rear leaf tsb.

If you don't have the rear learf tsb, and have 3 leafs in the back, set the billies at .85" to level.

May be a dumb question, are the 5100s adjustable in rear if you don't have the AAL?

The rear 5100's are not adjustable. The only way to lift the rear is the leafs.
