    Hello,
My front pads are toast. Dealer informed me they are down to 1mm on each side. They offered to machine the rotors, new pads and clean and adjust rears for $350. Seems high to me.

I regularly tow my 17' center console boat summer weekend usually around 20 miles. I'd like to upgrade to better pads if possible to aid in stopping power.

    What say you TW?

    Thanks
    Dave

You can change the pads yourself and save a ton of money.

I tow a 17' Bayliner, and havent found the need for more powerfull brakes. Keep in mind, there is a compromise when buying different performing pads. More stopping, means a softer pad, which wears out more quickly, and can make more dust.
