21ft, they have 242s now, 24.2 ft. She is big enough, holds 9. Not sure exactly what year, but I think around 2004 Yamaha, like Sea-Doo started making their jet boats look more like traditional bow riders.

You should have seem it behind my FJ. Same engine in Tacoma, but longer wheelbase will make the difference.

That trailer seems huge in of itself. Mind if I ask what you tow inside it? Is it a 24'

Ahh. Very impressive. I have a 2.7L so I can only dream of towing that heavy of a load. Very cool.

A few things here. I have a lot of experience towing with Tacoma's. 2003 and 2008. I have a 2002 Sunline 24 foot bunkhouse 3900 dry 5500 max loaded. 500 unloaded tongue weight. I have used Firestone bags on the 2003 and learned the hard way they are not to be used with WEight Distribution Hitches. On a side note, 27 feet is too long for a Tacoma, especially one with the shorter DCab wheel base. It certainly can pull it in a straight line, but it is completely unsafe and irresponsible to tow something that long with such a short wheelbase. It can push the Tacoma all over the road if it gets to windy or you need to take an evasive maneuver.

I have the TSB springs and they handle our 24 footer just fine. That along with the Reese dual cam and D range BF Goodrich AT ko's. Stock P tires should not ever tow a 27 foot trailer. That will lead to squishy wandering handling from the whole truck. Anything over 25 feet is in full size truck territory. No exceptions.

Back to the point though, you will also end up finding out that the airbags will fight the distribution of weight to the front axles by adding an unnecessary variable into the weight distribution process. It will essentially create a lever out of the point where it mounts to the frame of the truck above the axle. Two things could and will likely happen here.

    1. You bend the frame on the truck behind the axle.
    2. You bend the A frame of the trailer in the front.

The airbags do not work well with WD hitches especially in smaller packages like Tacoma's.

If you have them return them. They won't help. It will ride terrible and that terrible ride is your sign of other things bending eventually. This was all discovered when my frame was swapped out on my 2003 due to rust and bending(my frame had minimal surface rust, they swapped it as a courtesy and there was no rust caked n and no holes). I researched the issue online and spoke to experienced heavy trailer guys at RV.net forums and discovered what I am saying here.

Regardless of that, 27ft is too much for a Tacoma. No question there. There are formulas out there that identify ideal length to vehicle wheelbase and 27 blows that out of the water. The fact your springs can't handle this rig has to do with excessive tongue weight. The rest of the drive train will suffer towing at max or beyond max loaded vehicle weight.

Good luck. You have been warned by an experienced multi generational Tacoma owner with decades of rv towing. Just stay away from me and my family on the interstate.
