Some simple advice for attaching tow straps together

Well i was wondering how to attach two tow straps together so after a little research i found some really good ways of doing so safely. All that is required is a small piece of hardwood dowel rod. The first two are my favorites with the second one being the easiest. Safe and effective, no knots to undo and no flying shackles to kill anybody.

 

i used a flip flop in a pinch once

 

I have not used any of them yet, just wanted to know JIC and i didnt see any info on here although i didnt use the search func. Hope somebody that doesnt know finds this useful.

Used the 1st one a couple times, sticks, magazine, whatever...

 

I have used 1,3 and 4 a few times!

also they do make stuff to use other than a pice of wood. i think one of the types of things is called a dog bone or something like that i don’t remember.
