I'm thinking about taking my sway bar off for when I go off roading, but I tow my 5k lb travel trailer when we go. I'm pretty sure it would be a pretty frickin bad idea to tow that much weight without my sway bar. Does anybody tow that much weight without their front sway bar? I have a reese full weight distributing hitch with the anti-sway bar.

My travel trailer is about 4k wet and I ditched the sway bar a long time ago. No probs so far

I guess I will have to disconnect the sway bar and go for a trip to try it out. I really wish we had electronic swaybar disconnects like dodges and jeeps.

What are you gaining by disconnecting it? More articulation? I remember reading about it awhile ago but forget

    Substantially more articulation/flex.

right at the 6,500 lb limit when fully loaded. haven't had a swaybar on it in years, and tow a lot. in addition to the shorter day trips, I've towed this one 900 miles from Virginia to florida in a straight shot before. HOWEVER, Really not a good idea with stock suspension.

I was getting really excited until that last sentence. I only have 5100s and AAL. Maybe I'll wait till after I get my coilovers in a few months.
