On my 2009 Tacoma I have the Towing Package. Did anyone get a Hitch Ball Mount / Receiver Bar with the Towing Package? My dealer (sales man) told me that would be extra. When I asked the parts department at my Toyota dealer they also thought it would have came with the towing package.

    Please advise anyone.

    Thanks!!!!!

No receiver hitch comes with the towing package in the southeast. I had to get a 10 inch drop anyway after I lifted so it didnt matter to me.

No, but my neighbor got one with his Landcruiser - weird huh?

Not suprised they don't give them out, there's so many different types (sizes/capacities etc) out there why would they give you one?

Front skid plate. Hood protector, and wade in-channel guards. K&N CAI. Weathertech floormats, and door scuff guards. Tri-fold soft tonneau cover.
I didn't get one either here in NC.

    Thanks every one!!!!
    I feel better now.
My next question is a friend of mine has one that belonges to a 4Runner
(Toyota Part # PT228 - 89445) that I can have. I know the one for my Tacoma is Toyota Part # PT228-00950. Does anyone know what the difference is? When I called my local Toyota dealer and talked to the parts department they could not tell me what the difference was just that it would work. Anyone ????

    Thanks!!!

The hitch is not vehicle specific. They are made for certain receiver sizes (1 1/4" or 2") and weight ratings, but otherwise it doesn't matter.

Yea you don't get one regardless of location. I just went and picked up the ball and ball mount at an auto parts store.

Didn't get the ball or the mount. But I compalined enough that the sales man threw in the 7pin to 4pin adapter for the trailer lights. $8.00 item out of his pocket. He also provided us with a rubber cover for the receiver that was not part of the packaged.
