Yes we are on the road about 6 months a year. this is our 2nd Casita and we love it. the Tacoma pulls it really great and we get about 16-18 mpg, running the AC doesn't seem to affect the mileage.

I bought the scout. Got a good deal on it and I figured it wouldn't be hard to put all the goodies in myself and save the cost of labor.

I just installed a DC Fridge today, my 19000 btu heater will be here on Tuesday then I will do the water system and put it up on some all terrain tires.

Pretty stoked on it so far.

WOW! What a beaut! What year/model is that? I love Airstreams & the old Avions - but they're a bit spendy for how infrequently I get to camp. My 21' Trail Cruiser will have to do until I retire and get the 5th wheel & 3/4 ton diesel pickup combo I dream about.

We have a 2007 Casita 17SD and just love it. Perfect for my wife and I and two small dogs. Haven't used it very much due to work and other life events but we have plans to use it much more in 2015.
We tow with a 2006 Highlander Hybrid which does a fine job of towing the Casita. Our problem is that we would like to take along a little more stuff with us and the HiHy fills up quick which is why we are thinking about getting a Tacoma. It should tow the Casita just fine and we could carry our extra stuff in the pickup bed. We would use the WDH, sway bar and brake controller that we already have. Looking at a 2015 double cab short bed 4X4 with SR5 trim. The TRD package looks nice but we will not be doing any serious off road driving with the Tacoma. Anyone here towing a Casita style trailer with a V6 DCSB 4X4 Tacoma? Are you happy with the way it tows? Plenty power, decent fuel mileage etc and is the Tacoma comfortable to drive for a few hundred miles?
Thank you for your thoughts and comments.

    Here's ours.

2014 T@G made by Little Guy. And our previous 2013 T@B also made by little guy.

We traded the T@B in for the T@G when the T@G model came out in 2014. Our dry weight went from 1400 plus Lbs for the T@B to around 850 Lbs with the T@G.

I know that neither if these would be ideal for the average family but for now it is just me and the wife. Both of these are up there in the price range but they pull like a dream.

Prior to the purchase of our 2014 RC 4X4 Tacoma we were pulling them with a 1991 Geo Tracker with a 1.6 in it. T@B was getting to be a bit much but it pulls the T@G like a dream.

Here is Lil Bro's Little Guy that he pulls around with his 87 Samurai. This model is smaller and actually heavier than our T@G due to the wood frame construction as opposed to the aluminum frame on the T@G. Regardless, very nice camper.

80's coleman. It ended up being free. I hunted a while on CL, ended up picking up an older popup in colorado. Right after the coleman guy called and agreed to my price so I picked it up as well. After a little clean up sold the 1st one for enough to pay for itself and the coleman.

I added a rack and an s'cargo storage locker on top of it. It helps out quite a bit since the popups don't have the in transit storage a regular camper does.

    20141113_115442_zpsi0nptxoa_41576d152f41c955021aa19b29e0c83846a55b5c.jpg

And I just bought a smaller 5th wheel to replace it, I have someone that is supposed to pick up the popup after the first of the year. That sale pays for the new one, and it books about 10x what I paid for it. So it will likely happen again shortly
