Also spin tire on rim and see if better or worse. That's hardly done.

I have the same "cheap tire" and fucking love them. I was also hesitant at first but he'll I'll give anything a try. Hell I just bought a polymer lower for my AR. Anyhow these tires most definitely surprised me. Living in the Central Valley here in Cali I have different off road venues on either side of me.

Sand- these tires do very well in the sand which I think is partly due to the big spaces in the lugs. Most of the time in the dunes I can play around in 2wd with these.

Mud/snow/rocks- east of me are the Sierras which offers a lot of fun stuff. Obviously up there I air down which greatly improves traction in these tires, maybe it's me but these tires have way more wall flex than any other tire I have had. Tough wall too! No punctures from rocks or huge branches hiding in the mud. A guy who went wheeling with us had KM2's of the same size and was doing HORRIBLE, his tires had no traction even when we put him down to 13psi.

To the guy who is talking out of his ass about these tires and saying they are only rated for 40mph...please keep quiet. I have had these on since 2010, driven thousands of miles, countless off road trips, and have had my fair share of nails and screws in these....NO FAILS TO DATE.

Ill put up some adventure pics and a vid...if that's cool with the op.

ALSO, OP I can get you proof of these wranglers coming in a DuraTrac tread pattern. Last month I was looking at another set of tires and went to see if Walmart still had these because hey, they have yet to fail me. I went to the tire section when I seen the "new" authorities in a different pattern. Bummer because I like the tread I have now :(

Ill be heading to Wally World later so ill snap a pic of them.

Those aren't Duratrac's? Anyway, feel free to post pics of your Wrangler Authorities "failing every five feet" as the other kind gentleman is suggesting they do.

Surprised the hell out of me too. Even double checked prices and asked the auto section guy and he said these are replacing the old ones. Idk but I'm still wondering if they got a wrong shipment...?

Still looking into why these are there though.

Yeah then I realized that it would be a bad idea to get retreads after I did research. Did the group buy ever take place? I am so glad you guys like your tires an those do look like dura tracks! I was not trying to piss anyone off I have had bad experiences with Walmart tires in the past on a Ford Explorer.

Did you notice any change in gas mileage after you threw these on? Thanks for the review.

You do realize that these tires come with no warranty because they are an aggressive tread off road tire? Take a look at the Wrangler MTR with Kevlar, they are the top of the line off road tire from goodyear and they have no warranty and they are sold everywhere. Just because it doesn't have a warranty doesn't mean it's junk.

I used to work for Goodyearvand call on WalMarts and quite frankly the only reason Goodyear gave them three dedicated "Authority" line tires, is because they sell millions of units per year. Viva Authority FuelMax is that same as Assurance FuelMax, Eagle Authority is the same as Eagle GT and Wrangler Authority is just the Duratrac. Only differences they all have from the tires that the Goodyear stores is a slightly different tread.

I'm wondering about the gas mileage difference as well. I checked these out today in person and really like the look. I have Hankook Dynapros right now, but looking to switch to these next. They're only about 5 lbs heavier than my Hankooks per tire....

I just bought a set of these two weeks ago. So far, I love these tires. If they wear and last half as long as I think they will, these will be replaced with the identical set when these are worn out.

    I've seen a 1 - 2 MPG drop over the stock Dunlops.
