Treadwright retreads and casing choices.

How about a conversation about tire casings? My guess is there are more than a few of us considering purchasing these tires on a group buy and if you're anything like me, well its relitively easy to decide on a tread pattern. You either select the most aggressive because you like the look or the performance while offroading (Max Trax, Guard Dogs). Conversley, you may pick the A/T tread design to get better onroad and highway performance (Axiom, Warden, Puma).

The issue for me centers more around which casing to choose for the treadpattern desired. The only tires I have run on my Tacoma were the OEM Bridgestone Duelers(Terrible traction on ice and snow) and Goodyear Duratracs (Wear fast about 35to 40000mi - Great off road). With so little experiential knowledge of light truck tires, I feel at a disadvantage trying to decide on casings.

I found a thread with images of many different tires here http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/38333-tires-tires-tires-tires.html that at least shows all the tire options but aside from load range, I'm just not sure how to select the right casing for my driving desires.

I am interested in any discussion that would fill the knowledge gap. Some questions would be; are certain casings prone to balancing difficulty? Is sidewall durability an issue among same load ranges? Do certain casings tend to run aired down better than others? Are certain casings affected by temperature extremes more or less than others? There are likely other questions I haven't even thought of so please chime in.

No Interest, comments, no one here is entertaining the purchase of tires from Treadwright???? No help from those who have purchased???
