Just picked up my truck after having some Cooper Discoverer ATP's installed. I opted for the P265/75r16's after having some E rated BFG AT/KO's for 75,000 miles. The ride home felt like the truck was riding on pillows!! With the AT/KO's I could feel every single crack in the road, especially when coming to a stop. Not with these new ATP's..they soak up all those little bumps nicely.

The is a chance of snow this weekend..hopefully I can try them out in the fresh powder.

ps, I pop'd for new wheels too.. Going to save the Anthracites for summer.

I was looking at these for when I get home from the desert. How do you like them so far?

I was looking at these as well but ended up going with Goodyear Duratracs. I had E rated KM2s prior to these and like you felt every single crack and rock in the road. I got C rated this time and they ride a helluva lot better. Keep us updated on how you like those!

I wanted Duratracs but no body had them in the 265/75r16 load C. They are on national backorder..would have to order online. Which got me looking at other tires.. Found these ATP's for almost $300 less.

The ATP's weigh 40 lbs compared to the 52 for AT/KO's I had.

I am liking these ATP's a lot. It did snow over the weekend so I got to try them out right away.. It's kinda hard to compare to the AT/KO's because mine were so old and rock hard.. but I think they are exactly what an AT tire would handle like when new. I'm still using 4x4 because of the open diff of the Off Road pkg in 2x.. but now I can actually steer through a corner as opposed to pushing straight through with the old tires..

My only complaint so far: They look rather plain. I kinda liked the Duratrac sidewall tread blocks..wish these ATP's had something similar.

That’s a nice looking tire, but Cooper does not even list the tire on their web site.

I’m looking at the S/T Maxx and possibly the A/T 3, but these look interesting, but no info on the Cooper website. How did you find them?

Just for reference, if anyone wants more information about this tire, there was a thread on it awhile back:

I have these tires and love them! Great on road and even better off-roading. Great tire for the price!

typically it would make the speedo indicate slower than your actual speed.
