Mods need to put a filter in that automatically deletes anything Tacomadouche related.
Everything they do is for clicks to drive their drop shipping online flea market. Stop feeding into it.

At 80mph indicated, it shows 87mph on my Google maps GPS.

92mph indicated to show 100mph on GPS.

    That's with Toyos 35/12.5/17.

I bout both my 2nd Gen TRD Sport Package #2 and my 3rd Gen TRD Sport brand new. Off the show room floor. I ran 3 GPS Speedometers simultaneously. In Both cases with the brand new stock wheels and tires, when the truck odometer read 75MPH I was actually going about 63.5MPH. So I would bet that has something to do with Toyotas over estimated MPG on every generation of Tacoma.

I don't drive like granny by any means, but I've never gotten more than 16-17 MPG on any brand new Tacoma.

In Both cases after putting 35's and regearing g im getting about 12-14MPG which isn't bad.

I don't have a 4th gen to add to the collection yet ( I learned my lesson on the 2nd gens, NEVER buy one of the very first produced trucks of a new model to be produced!) but I will bet dollars to donuts the MPG trend will be the same. Originally inflated, but with gearing you won't loose too much going to 35's since the MPG suck anyway .

Good luck to the 4th gen guys I'll be monitoring the progression of the 4th gen to see if and when I'll pick one up.

Stock oem specs you’re saying the speedometer was off over 10mph at 75?!!! That seems like a major flaw.

I call shenanigans on that. All of my Toyotas have been off by about 2 mph at 70.

No way any manufacturer has a speedo with 20% error.
