That sounds awesome! I'd be down for trade, originals or prints? I don't have any prints, but I could have some made easily enough online.
You should throw them up in this thread,
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/sp.../349756-what-have-you-made-created-today.html
    I'd love to see them!

Cool. I'll try and get some pics soon. I had them professionally done on an IRIS printer on Somerset velvet watercolor paper. Water based inks. Archival.
Only have a few images left but will take inventory.

Yeah, last time I looked into getting prints made I remember the quotes being expensive. I haven't looked into it in a good 7-8 years and a lots changed in photography/printing for the better. I need to look into it again.

They're are cheaper inferior quality prints but I call them posters. I'm picky and by what I see of your work you are also. I printed a cert with every print explaining the process and archival properties.

How many prints did you have made? Was there a certain number you had to buy?

Wow, those are amazing! But damn, that's a budget buster for me. Looks like I'm sticking with making originals. I'm assuming you had the prints made to sell. Where did you sell them galleries?

    I had a buttload done.
Quit plumbing for a year. Made a show every weekend somewhere. Hit up galleries but I was a no name knew nobody. Was a hard lesson.
Started trading. Gifts. Gave away to handicap kid hunts that I volunteered as a guide. Went back to plumbing. Will sell still if I can but prefer to barter now.

Then I sold them framed and bagged prints. Was hustling. Took the passion away.

It's definitely hard to make a name for yourself. I used to make the rounds at all the big art festivals in the North East. Set up my tent for the weekend sell a few paintings pack up and go home. After a while, and a couple of absolutely no sales, not even making my space rental money back I stopped going. Too bad though, some festivals made me some really good money.
Now everything I do is word of mouth and not nearly as frequently as I'd like.

I hear ya. Been there and still paying for it. But love your watercolors. I'd like one of my truck in front of Alamo. 11x14. Or Alamo in back so it is all visible. I can do pic of truck diff angles and maybe you pull pic off net?
I'll check inventory let me know what ya want.
