You're going to take it in the shorts if you trade it in in the condition it's in currently. Document everything and contact a lemon law lawyer and search up on it. Find a dealership that's going to work with you on getting it lemon'd as this is clearly not how things are supposed to be and the lemon laws were put in place to protect consumers against situations exactly like this. Not considering this would be a large financial mistake on your end.

    Pay it forward right?
I've had lots of help from lots of people in this community. (Like the people who helped out today) Really good group of people. Next trick is to get you out on some trail runs with us.

You handled the surprise exhaustectomy and sway bar garage floor mod pretty well too

I bought the truck in Westminster at the Mercedes dealership used with 3k on it, supercharger installed by Toyota when it was bought new by previous owner. I live in Nebraska. Lemon Law does not apply to me.

Yeah, the guys were great today and I'm ready for that next trick too!

Less is best... right? Shave the weight. Going for the alignment first thing in the a.m. but can't believe I left my KMC spline socket at your place

I almost bought a first gen today. It was the nastiest one I've ever seen. I swear it looked like someone pooped on the passenger seat  and had been attacked by dog hair and sweat stains.

But they sent it to auction before I had the chance. Meanies. Was hoping to snag it.

Anyone know of trail relatively close to Denver that's open right now? I'm looking to do a little wheeling this week. I'm not looking for anything too difficult, just something to cruise on and enjoy the nice weather.

A small handful of select mods.
So once I get my truck back it needs emissions. Now that I am running 315's it's the dreaded fear of finding smaller wheels to borrow so I can hit up a testing station. Well interestingly enough while searching the Colorado Air Care website today I found out that the Ken Caryl testing facility has special dynameter rollers for low profile cars (low profile rims 17" and larger) and tires over 34's. Since it isn't too far away I will be going there. They plan to add additional locations (2) at some point this year. Now I just wonder how crowded it will be when I finally get to go there.

Jeremy, in reference to the rear diff breather mod we discussed yesterday...

This (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/286097-rear-diff-vent-behind-tail-light-mod.html) is a good thread for putting it in the taillight pocket like I did. When I was looking for this thread, I saw that LowRange offroad offers a kit for ~25 as an option too.

One thing I didn't think about yesterday, in prepping your truck for trails, is the trailer plug adapter. Actually, I didn't even look to see if you had one but if you do, and it's hanging down, there's a really good chance you'll rip it off on the trail.
There are several options for this. There are a few people on here who sell relocating brackets. What I did was take a 2" hole saw to the bumper between the left light and license plate and put my harness there. Now, of course, my stock bumper is long gone and the harness lives behind a flip up plate in my high clearance bumper.
