I am going to buy a new DIY Kit and make some custom tube/plate hybrid sides on it. And powdercoat it to match my skids and sliders.

Sounds like an interesting design. Are you going relentless again?

Yes, But I'm just going to get the center section of the bumper from them because I like how it mounts to the frame and it has beefy recovery points. The shop that I have membership to just recently bought a hydraulic bender so I want to start playing with that and see what I can come up with.

Not today, but two days ago I put on my OCTaco extended braided steel brake lines. While I had the front wheels off, I put a second set of retainer clip springs for my brake pads so they don't make that terrible noise. You know the one, where it makes a loud clang or pop when you touch the brakes after backing out of a parking spot. No more noise :)

My dog decided he did not like being in the truck all alone, and knocked off two of those rain guards on the windows. But I put the stock running boards back on to aid the pregnant wifey in climbing into my truck. In a couple more weeks I will be doing the add a second car seat mod.

Worked out a few things on the truck yesterday

Started this morning with a functional cheap mod I recently came across. So obvious you would never think of it  Wish I could find the link again to give OP credit. When I found this thread it was an alternative to a jerry can mount. But I saw more uses for it, like a secure spot to strap down a milk crate with propane tank or stretch the net you stole from your girlfriends Kia Soul :anonymous: across cubby to cubby to keep the groceries from sliding around. This was the end result the thread suggested

I picked two sets of these up from the hardware store

Drilled out the hole for the stock bolt and test fitted

Cut off the excess, rounded off the cuts, and painted them black

Great little mod with lots of potential.

Next up was TPMS indicator light delete mod. This thing has beenuseless for over a year..

Then I wanted to address the never ending battle against rust when your a Beach Buggy

While I had the dash torn apart I figured on having a paint party :D

Also ran into the USB/AUX harness that I deleted and stuffed away. I had an Idea of getting a mini jump pack kit from All 4 Off-Road and keeping it in the glove box always plugged in so its always good to go if needed. So I plugged the switch back into the harness ran a power cord to the glove box and restuffed it all back behind the dash.

Lastly, While everything was torn apart I ran the power and ground to all the switches next to the center cup holder. Soon to be wired in will be the A-tac system and OBA. Still two open switches available.

Also did a tire rotation after an oil change a few days ago. All and all twas a good day

Side note. The wire going to the glove box is not a power cord, thought Ive seen it charge a phone.. but it just links music to the stereo. Looking back into getting a power wire to the glove box.
