Any chance I could run the 255/80R17's without any rubbing or trim issues on a 2" lift?

1-2 feet deep sections of debris in Sycamore Canyon Big Sur after Thursdays rain. Never even needed to put it into 4x4. Some sections where 1/4 of mud, rock, roots, etc.

    These tires handled flawlessly!!!!

Is it worth buying the "refund or replacement" certificates for the tires?

Bilstein 5100's with 885's. 2" AAL and Billies.
I ran a set of 265/75 16's on my truck and got about 75k miles out of them. Probably could have gotten more if I hadn't knocked the front end alignment off and drove it for months before getting it taken care of. That caused wear problems that were nonexistent til then. I'm running 285/75 16 DuraTracs now and I just don't feel the durability is the same level as the Maxxs. Seriously considering going 255/85's in the Maxxs. Also not a fan of rubbing issues with the 285's. I've got 5100's with 885s up front and 2" AAL in the rear. UCAs are next, probably coilovers as well. Love the Maxxs as all around tires. Tough as they come. Ride a little stiff on Tacos but you get increased longevity because the truck isn't heavy enough to stress them. My .02 worth.

So I can't decide between a 255/80/17 I like the sidewall height on this one but not sure if it's wide enough. Or do I go with a 265/70/17 which is smaller, Or with a 285/70/17? The 285 is a bigger tire but with it comes rubbing issues.

    Your thoughts?

Since the winter is winding down what's the final verdict from guys in the northeast on how these handled NE winter packed snow/icy conditions?

    killed it!!

I drove back and forth a lot from Upstate NY to Vermont skiing, drove all ver in the big storms we had. They handled the the thick wet slsh great, did awesome on the hard packed and deep snow. I was impressed with the ice handling (not ice rink) and througg out the winter I felt very confident and never had an "oh shit" moment due to the tires. They have around 6-7k on them now and they still look new.

Interesting thanks. I've seen mixed reviews online regarding their winter performance

these have impressed me since day 1.. Im running the narrower 255's which i'm sure make a little difference on the hard pack and ice.

Far superior to my BFG ATKO's

I have them in 285's. They do awesome in the snow. Barely used 4WD this winter. Mine might have around 10k on them, and still look great.

Mine arrived today. What tire pressure are you all running for the 265/75-16 size?
